CONSULTATION SERVICES

SERVICES
I provide consultations to organizations and individuals. Consultation services range from highly customized response to organizational needs,
to trainings, program development, curriculum development and adaptation, minority staff recruitment and retention, Latino/a research projects,
to group clinical supervision and clinical supervision for licensure. Consultations are provided in all 3 areas of specialization - trauma, diversity
and space design for healing – as well as combining any of these areas.

CONSULTATION PROCESS
Following an initial meeting to explore the consultant’s needs, I may propose to proceed as the sole consultant or bring together a small team of independent consultants. Detailed proposals outline specific roles for each team member and fees. This consultation model provides the benefit
of a customized interdisciplinary team without the overhead of employees or subcontracting. All consultations can be provided in English and/or Spanish, including any materials for clients or patients and bilingual staff.

Trauma work is challenging and we may question our competency and/or interest in this work.  With the right framework and tools, it can be an extremely fulfilling area of specialty. The purpose of this study group is to support the development of clinicians and graduate students in the
area of psychological trauma, and to explore these topics in a small group, low stress, didactic environment.

FOR NON–CLINICIANS
Directly or indirectly, you may be exposed to complexity and chaos in your patients' or clients' lives. You may feel unsatisfied, frustrated or ineffective, you may wish to have additional tools or resources, or you may wonder about your clients' or patients' recurring negative patterns.
In this group we will explore the concepts of trauma-informed care, psychological trauma, and vicarious traumatization and vicarious resilience.
A trauma-informed perspective can increase your professional satisfaction and help your clients/patients reach their goals. Review of reading assignments and discussions will take place in a small group, low stress, didactic environment. Attorneys, physicians, nurses, naturopaths, chiropractors, massage therapists, and any other health care providers are welcome. One-day trainings and profession-specific groups can
also be arranged.
